This Cookie Policy explains how Lucid, LLC ("Lucid," "we," "us," or "our") uses cookies and similar technologies on our website at trylucidfinance.com (the "Site"). It should be read together with our Privacy Policy.
Our mobile app does not use cookies or advertising trackers. This Policy applies to the Site only.
1. What Are Cookies?
Cookies are small text files placed on your device when you visit a website. They help websites function, remember preferences, and understand how visitors use the site. Similar technologies, such as pixels and local storage, serve related purposes; we refer to all of these as "cookies" in this Policy.
2. Cookies and Analytics We Use
We keep tracking on the Site deliberately minimal, and we do not run advertising cookies or advertising pixels.
Essential cookies. Required for the Site to function properly, such as security, basic site operation, and processing a checkout through our payment provider (Stripe). These cannot be disabled.
Privacy-friendly analytics. We use product and traffic analytics to understand how visitors interact with the Site, including pages viewed, clicks, and general session activity, along with limited technical information such as browser and device type. We use two providers:
- Vercel Analytics (provided by Vercel Inc.), which measures aggregate Site traffic without using cookies and without collecting information that identifies you individually.
- PostHog (provided by PostHog Inc.), which we use for product analytics. We configure PostHog to run without advertising cookies and not to sell or share your information. PostHog processes this information on our behalf as a service provider and does not use it for its own advertising.
We use this information only to improve the Site and measure our own marketing. We never use your financial account data for analytics or advertising, and we do not share your information with any advertising network.
Attribution. When you arrive at the Site from one of our marketing links, we may capture standard campaign parameters (UTM tags) and pass them into our checkout so we can measure which of our own efforts led to a purchase. This is first-party marketing attribution; it is not advertising targeting and does not involve an advertising network.
3. Your Choices
- Browser settings: You can block or delete cookies in your browser settings. Blocking cookies does not affect your ability to use the Lucid mobile app, and our analytics are designed to keep working in a privacy-friendly, non-identifying way.
- No sale or sharing to opt out of: We do not sell your personal information, and we do not share it for cross-context behavioral advertising. Because there is nothing to opt out of, we do not provide a "Do Not Sell or Share" mechanism. If this ever changes, we will update this Policy and provide the required opt-out controls before doing so.
- Do Not Track and Global Privacy Control: Because we do not sell or share personal information for advertising, these browser signals have no advertising activity to limit on the Site.
4. California and Other State Residents
We do not "sell" personal information for money, we do not "share" personal information for cross-context behavioral advertising, and we do not use or disclose sensitive personal information for purposes that would require a right to limit under California law. As a result, no advertising opt-out is required. We will never discriminate against you for exercising your privacy rights. For all of your privacy rights and how to exercise them, see Section 7 of our Privacy Policy.
5. Changes to This Policy
We may update this Cookie Policy as our use of cookies changes. We will revise the "Last Updated" date above and, for material changes, provide notice on the Site.
